As we gather for our annual Jack and Jill Day activities, we take time to remember a vibrant young leader, Carole Robertson, who was a member of the Jack and Jill of America teen group in Birmingham, Alabama. She was tragically killed on this day in 1963 while preparing to march for civil rights. We honor her memory and the dreams she held for a better future by recommitting to our mission of developing future African American leaders and fostering a community dedicated to service and social justice.
